Arend on finding relief and gaining the time to launch a new gym

April 30, 20252 min read

“The time, worry and money saved is worth every penny”

When a team member leaves, things shift fast. For Arend, it meant more responsibilities landing back on his manager Klaudia’s plate—just as she was already coaching more and supporting the gym’s operations.

Arend & Klaudia knew they needed help—and thankfully they didn’t waste time. With their experienced VA leading their onboarding process, Arend and Klaudia have aced their first 30 days with GRP. They've showed up, followed the steps, and given the kind of clear communication that sets everything up to work well long-term.

Now, with admin off their shoulders and smoother systems behind the scenes, they’re seeing the benefits of that effort pay off.

We caught up with Arend just after he’d completed his onboarding to hear how it’s going so far.

What were you finding hardest to keep up with before you got a VA?

There was a lot of niggly bits that kept falling through the cracks. With Klaudia moving out of the box manager's position, we needed someone that can pick up the mundane, repetitive bits.

What made you finally decide, "I need help"?

Moving and downsizing the staff. We needed a cost-effective option for the admin work.”

This wasn’t about luxury. It was about staying on top of things with a leaner team. Bringing in a VA made sure nothing important fell through the cracks.

How does your VA make your day-to-day easier?

“Knowing that all the emails and member issues are dealt with in the background without having to check in all the time.”

That trust and consistency frees up headspace—so you can focus on higher-impact work without constantly checking the backend.

What bigger things have you been able to do now that you’ve got more time?

I've been able to focus on launching the new gym and chasing and closing sales which is where my energy needed to be

Delegating the day-to-day means Arend can now lean into growth, not just survival mode.

How do you feel about your business now compared to before?

I feel happy knowing that an area of concern is being handled so there is peace of mind.

Sometimes, that’s the biggest win of all—knowing that one of the spinning plates isn’t going to drop.

What would you tell someone who's on the fence about hiring a VA?

The time, worry and money saved by having someone do the shitty bits you can’t or hate doing is worth every penny.”

We are so glad Arend took the leap and hired a VA to manage his admin workload. He's accomplished a lot in a short space of time and we can't wait to see what he achieves next!
